Men, You've Got Some 'Ruff' Competition!

Ever since the appearance of the now infamous Ikea monkey, I've been quite obsessed with fashionably dressed animals! I do feel it necessary to mention, that animals have survived for well over 500 million years without clothes, although there is no harm in having a bit of fun! Especially if the partaker is enjoying themselves as well.

If you haven't already heard about the Menswear Dog then I suggest you check it out! It's a newly founded, creative style blog that features Bodhi the handsome Shibu Ina. The creators of the blog are graphic designer David Fung (28) and his girlfriend and fashion designer Yena Kim (26). They just launched their blog a mere five days ago and it has already gone viral, appearing on the likes of GQ only twelve hours after their blog's soft launch.

The project was originally rooted out of pure boredom and was posted to Fung's Facebook page. The response was so overwhelming that they decided to start Menswear Dog. The blog is meant to express Fung's style and tends to gravitate towards more classically derived heritage styles, with a particular focus on textures. Kim acts as the photographer and does an excellent job of capturing some very human like expressions. Check out some of Bodhi's looks below:

Bodhi has most his pieces come from Ralph LaurenClub Monaco and J. Crew. The rest of his looks and pages can be found below:

  3. It is actually quiet cute! I think it depens on clothes the dog is wearing, if it is uncomfortable I think it is really bad to dress up a dog like this but when it is not its lovely! :)

  5. Hi, thank you so much for your comment.
I've never been a fan of dressing dogs, but this is a real fashion statement. I guess it's OK as long as Bodhi doesn't mind. I must say, he looks dapper in that tie.

    1. Thank you for reading! I definitely agree on both counts. Apparently he has days where he doesn't feel like dressing up but the owners are mindful of that - thankfully. He definitely is the best dressed doggie I've ever laid eyes on!
