My Take on Elote

This recipe is a perfect for the summer and definitely packs a powerful punch! For those of you who have frequented the regular Mexican haunts like Playa Cabana & La Carnita, you've probably experienced a take on the Mexican dish 'elote'. It's beyond addictive and incredibly easy to make!

Master the Art of Color Pairing - Part One

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to be dishing out one of the most important fashion lessons you will ever learn! It'll take less than 10 minutes and you carry it with you for the rest of your life.

With all these color driven trends lately it's hard to recognize what colors will work together without overwhelming an outfit. I definitely understand why most people would lean towards more conservative pairings - such as two colors versus three or four - but there is no harm in educating yourself! I for one enjoy more settle pairings and lean towards an urban color scheme, although I really do love seeing fellow bloggers' bright colorful outfits! Very inspiring stuff.

Trashy Eats

Now, when I say trashy, I mean trashy in the best sense possible. This is my definition of simple, unpretentious eats that range from classics to the colossally gluttonous.  For those who know me well, will know that I have few limits when it comes to trying new flavors and am always down for exploring the city's hidden gems.

These two places I'm covering today are smack down in the Greek glory that is Danforth and although not exactly Greek, they both pack a powerful punch standing among some tough competitors (like Messini).

Chanel's Classic Black Jacket, A Retrospective

This past summer, I had the pleasure of attending Chanel's The Little Black Jacket Retrospective at SongShan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei. It's a traveling retrospective and I was fortunate enough to be visiting the city at the time! It was a bit rainy that day but it didn't deter my excitement or desire to pay tribute to one of my favorite brands.

The Céline Revolution

It's been a while since we've seen a bag sweep the world like the Céline Trapeze has. It has been re-interpreted by the likes of Lanvin, Prada, Valentino and even fast fashion retailer Zara.

Frank's Kitchen

This past Valentines day, my guy and I went to a restaurant that I've been anxiously waiting to try out - Frank's Kitchen. For those of you unfamiliar with the restaurant, it is run up by husband and wife super duo Frank Parhizgar (Head Chef) and Shawn Cooper (Front of House). The restaurant is located on College Street and brings casual fine dining to a whole new level.

All Trouser'ed Up!

The trouser trend has alas come into complete market saturation; It's hard to visit a store without seeing a pair, or five of them. Personally, I'm glad this trend is doing a slow fade out, as I'm still enjoying the amazing variety of choices - far too much to have it taken away from me! That being said, I welcome the wide leg trouser trend that will be being introduced in the upcoming Spring and Pre-Fall season. I'm especially fond of palazzo pants and am excited to break out my silk Elizabeth and James! Come fall, we will be seeing a surge of sports inspired trends, namely sweat pants in unexpected fabrications, like leather! Some seriously exciting stuff!

Why do I love trousers so much? I believe they can transform any ensemble with a touch of refinement and can work for a wide variety of body types. I'm all about something easy you can throw on and instantly look polished.

Here are some awesome runway looks to get you revved up for the fall season!
